Good chapter, and Maegor is right, regardless of what would come to light if Rhaenyra disinherits her sons, her claim would be stronger with Aegon iii being her heir as well as gain Maegor as an ally. Jace, Luke and Joffery could be a part of his small council and be involved if that’ what they desire. The alternative would be for Jace to marry a nobles daughter from Lys to continue the Valyrian bloodline.
I’m thinking about more than a couple of monikers that Maegor will probably get from the Westerosi history books: 1. Maegor the Just (ironically wearing the opposite title of his ancestor, King Maegor the Cruel.) 2. The King Who Never Was (because many will likely prefer him as the best candidate to sit the throne due to how he’s only cared about the future of the dynasty and realm, instead of wanting and chasing after the throne like most of his kin.) 3. The Shepard (Sounds better. Due to how he’s doing his utmost to preserve and ensure the welfare of the dragons as well as those which he responsibly and compassionately holds sway and dominion over. Defends the kingdoms from enemies within and without who would disrupt peace and order for the sake of their ambitions. Like killing, or staving off wolves from the henhouse since these so-called highborn nobles are kinda like ravenous predators who try to seize what isn’t theirs in the first place.) 4. Maegor the Stoic (another well said title suggested some chapters ago by another commentator. Maegor is a lot more calm and self-controlled than all his living relatives, besides Lady Arryn and his wife Helaena.) P.S. Does anyone theorize that he and Cregan may become the right and left hand men of this mysterious king that will be seated on the throne long after the current one dies and the Dance of Dragons occurs? Since the canon has changed all due to the MC’s existence obviously.
"A true man hates no one." - Napoleon Bonaparte “In all chaos ☯️ there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order ⚖️.” — Carl Jung. I find it funny that Daemon thinks that his firstborn despises him when really he’s indifferent towards him. The Lord of Sheep thrives on order and balance while his dad the Rogue Prince excels at chaos. They seem like they are two dual sides of the same coin at certain times. P.S. Does anyone think that Maegor is a Lawful/True Neutral character while Daemon’s Chaotic Neutral in this tale?
the more this story progresses the stronger MC's position becomes as a protagonist. I also feel that your writing is getting better? or perhaps you were this good from the start and there just weren't as many situations where writing like this fit well with what you were trying to convey? Idk but the more I read the more hooked I get 😁😁😁
