You should probably capitalise your title so its like this; Pokemon: A Rough Start In Kanto. Just binged the whole story. Apart from minor grammar mistakes there is one problem. I NEED MORE CHAPTERS The worst feeling is when you are binging and there is no more. Other wise this is a really good story with minor grammar mistakes

Machop is believable to be caught by MC. But when Becky meets Ferroseed, she will have all the pieces of the puzzle to figure out MC is the one who stole to Darkness when she eventually leaves. I see that Becky is going to have a Butterfree... good :D An ideal partner and starter.

Don’t have him try to steal again rn, he’s well off for now and you should at least give him a few months to just train and get stronger

an electric type would come really handy with all his heists

Okay, I'm loving this story, and I loved the character development and how realistic and paranoid he is, that's really a good thing in the situation he was in. About becky, I loved the introduction of her character as a "savior" of the protagonist, that was a great thing, a companion in dark times and someone to talk to is a very good thing not to go crazy, since talking to pokemons is kind of.. . By the way, any point of reference for becky? and is it possible that she is a love interest? I'd approve of that, they're practically married already lol (I'm saying romance later, not now because I know they're just kids. But a childish love could develop here, no?)
