I don't understand why people hate having the MC's going with Luffy's crew since 90% of all events/character interactions in one piece happen to or around them.
I can understand that, it woud be boring but having cherry there would change a good few interactions, but either way she would still run into the crew alot since they're alway in the middle of the biggest events.

Frankly, I don't like this chapter at all. I liked the story so far. It is well-written and the MC is likable and interesting. In this chapter, however, are some very worrying things. First: Mind manipulation. Fate almost managed to bend the MC's mind to think that sticking with Luffy would not be so bad despite the MC clearly wanting to avoid Luffy. For me, this felt as if the character I liked to read about was NTR'd by fate. Quite off-putting but okay. I understand that the Chinese trope of 'Chosen One' fits Luffy well but it also brings several problems to the table. This is One Piece fanfic so ofc the MC will meddle somewhat in the plot. This means that she will have to interact with Luffy. I wonder how that will be possible considering just conversing with Luffy can cause the fate threads to attach to her and manipulate MC's mind into wanting to become his Nakama. I am not even going to contemplate the problem of there being 2 'Main' characters now that Luffy was hard-set as the Chosen One of the world and not just some lucky and capable lovable kid with a dream. Maybe the author will handle it superbly so I'll refrain from judging the story right now and will wait for what the author will do next but this last chapter triggered far too many red flags with my disliked tropes to at least not say my opinion in the comments. I don't really expect the author to change anything because of me, though. A lot of people will like the story as it is now.
