Oof, this interaction with his 'higher power' is certainly a novel choice. The powers are extensive and OP, but I guess is balanced with the unwilling alterations to MCs personality and memories? It might just be me, but having the personality/character traits or our MC be altered dramatically in the beginning of a novel is such a kill-joy.(always seems like a excuse for false "character growth" or drama/tension later on)

Why is the first race a Kryptonian? And if you can't make only these two, then just make a perpetua race.

The author's decisions are bad. But the author has talent so the work is good but not because of the author's decisions. Just my opinion

would just change this race, like a son of poseydon with an Atlantean crossbreed with an angel or a high elf, he would have enormous advantages without changing personality or anything like that, in addition to being something totally plausible, due to all the races existing in DC, there would be a greater potential.

Atlantians and fishmen are borh superhumanly strong and he has regeneration he could have trained earlier

so its only his memories of dc that are gone?
