Aaaaanndd this is what you get for being a coward. He put off his talk with Elena to fight the dragons and twiddle his thumbs with his sword friend instead of prioritizing healing his broken relationship with Elena. The fact she was so far down his to do list goes to show how afraid he is, how little he truly cares/wants to fix the relationship, and how little actual growth he has undergone (actions will always speak louder than words or thoughts, actions will always be the lowest bar to show actual growth). His debt to her only continues to grow and I'm again not sure I want them to get together anymore. He's just been the absolute worst to her and still hasn't done anything to make up for it. The fact that they did it instead of healing the relationship only makes things worse. Instead he went to Rose first, the girl he needed to talk to the least of the two. All he had to do was have a 15-60 min conversation... *sigh*
