Probably, thanks to his void body, he will absorb the monster meat he eats with full effect and mc will not be hurt. He'll suffer a little, but probably again the fluid he found in the dungeon will also contribute to his healing.

I do feel like there seems to be some inconsistencies with the info the MC is telling us and what he is doing right here. But it’s not something unexplainable I guess. If we assume gates are regulated and only allow parties to enter, considering the MC is a pushover he would be outright rejected in participating in fights. Furthermore, if we consider his determination to get his mother money, we can assume that he won’t take any big risks and that is why he settled for porter work. Plus, gates have a timer since they can close. So people would definitely try to accumulate as much exp as possible and not waste time letting a porter get exp especially a ”weakling” that will take a long time to fight a small exp monster. Of course this is really farfetched but I that’s what I assume happened with the MC.
