It seems the Lightning Emperor prioritizes freedom above all. Must be the temperment of Gravis. I got that feeling when Suppression was mentioned in the last chapter. I think it's a nice reference assuming that's what Warmaisach was going for. Enjoying the story so far, just wish I didn't read through each chapter in .0001ms.

Thank god I stacked up chaps. It ended beautifully. Now, I wonder how Shang will advance with the help of a big empire. Not to mention how he gonna summon an abomination lol

That is an excellent reason to invest in Shang and from what little I know of the Lightning Emperors personality also seems to fit. Besides possibly the archivist and maybe the Custodian whose only a Mage King, im curious who else he wants to spare. May you fail at the last step Shang.
