This implies he could fiddle with Shangs soul, create a “sentient sword” , aquire shangs soul but can’t create a fake corpse?

I’ve become more convinced that Lucian and the God are the same and that Shang was tricked into thinking Lucian was dead and actually isn’t.

I have a somewhat plausible idea. Who says the mage god and “the god” arnt the same entity. He is a god afterall. he was able to blacklist Shangs name from his mind so what’ stopping him from fooling Shang into believing that the mage god was killed. We already know that the god likes to play games

I never even considered this and that’s a gruesome scene lol. I imagine that there will be an artificial limiter such as requiring more energy (soul cores) after raising his limits and evolving. It would be weird if he only needs the same amount of energy as a normal human despite having 4 cores.

I’m fairly certain it says that because if given to the wrong person they’d have a direct channel to Sunny’s soul (or soul space) even if it doesn’t do that. It would be quite weird to require permission to withdraw the snake. The most likely limitation probably has something to do with distance. Or having to have contact to their shadow
