DreamThree
Everyone is harrasing June, perhaps it means that author failed to make entertaining female lead :/ . I mean, I can relate her problems, but she is just... well, too ordinary, I guess? Reading these books maybe readers prefer to see someone more "magical" or "amazing" and not everyday woman trying to act tough and independent.
June’s desire to be equal to the Mc isn’t really realistic. In reality when people are in a relationship you should be happy and proud when your PARTNER is succeeding not insecure and the need to be equal. A relationship built on the foundation of being equal and desire to be so called worthy isn’t a relationship that’s going to last. Not only that she has showed no desire or the appropriate of creating her own studio until Will success, it feels really abrupt and there’ no passion.
I honestly think you should make Will and June break up so that both of them can grow and mature into better people. You don't have to make it messy just they can go from lovers to friends and can learn from the experience. June can learn to deal with her inferiority complex and learn to have her own dreams that don't revolve around will, at the same time Will can learn to care more about people. I believe it will be better for Will to be with a more older and more mature person who can teach him how important connections are, how to balance work with personal life, and someone who can help him in other ways also at the same time Will can help her in ways as well. He needs to be with someone who has her own goals and dreams and doesn't mind asking for his help when she needs it.
