Honestly, the gems should all be less high up than even copper. All of them can be made in a lab pretty easily, after all. Gems nowadays are all maaaajorly overpriced.

It just occurred to me. Since the world she’s in is technically a game world, might she be leveling up? That would explain the strength she suddenly has and the insane reaction times.
