I hoping since time is a circle he would be able to just fly back since there didn’t seem to be anything actively preventing him from doing that. Now he may not be able to go back in the same point in time but anywhere close/before the team completes the nightmare would be fine.
Kaldan:I don’t know if he can at this point. My mental understanding of the Source/Estuary is that it’s basically a waterfall, with the heart/Estuary midway down, and then the far reaches of the future underneath. So I’m either understanding it incorrectly, or he has no way back to the past, unless he uses his flying trick, which may or may not even work. He may have passed the point of no return here
I wonder if the ridiculous number of dreamers that they heard when entering wasn't the others that came to the river, but just their number multiplied by a number of loops. it would also solve the time issue. if they experience loop after loop logically even though their time resets the world outside carries on. Sunny has brought up this worry more than once. But if the time truly resets and thus all loops happen simultaneously, how long the successful loop is the time that passes outside. Otherwise that's soo many years it would be a different world all together when they get back
Just how much time has passed in the tomb? I suppose it being a nightmare could allow for some reversal of time, or at least there's the hope of it. It makes me wonder if Rain is now an adult and if Earth has been lost to the dream realm entirely. I certainly hope that isn't the case, but you never know, especially with G3 involved.
So maybe the cohort succeed in conquering Verge but it isn’t what the Spell expect to end this Nightmare. Or even worse, it could mean the Nightmare has already ended for the cohort but Sunny as he is « outside » of it in this place ? And the Spell wait for another conflict specific to Sunny to be solved in his case.
