That's the same strategy that was used in the Temple of the Chalice (second nightmare), by both sides.
He may be waiting until they sleep to enter her dreams and speak privately. Discussing overthrowing a sovereign cannot be done in his domain and may be best not done in front of the Fire Keepers. Being inside a dream may also keep Cassie from seeing him without the mask on.
There wouldn't be any dejavu since Sunny was erased, but he could explain the unexplainable holes and missing memories in her experience. 1.) Where did you get the Starlight Legion armor? I gave it to you. 2.) Do you remember the boat used to escape the Soul Devouring Tree? I asked you to build it. You also told me Aster Song, Vale. 3.) Who held the Midnight Shard and the Moonlight Shard? I did. 4.) Who took the keys to the Crimson Spire and sealed the dark sea? I did. 5.) how did you defeat Saint Dire Fang? 6.) How did you escape Athelia s Island? It was me and my cursed sword of Ariel. 7.) Who deactivated the defense array in Twilight? 8.) Why do i know that Effie named her kid Dumpling? Ling was not the name of the leader of her first cohort, I was. Its because the strings of fate wrapped around my soul were torn by a Cursed Terror in the Estruary at the end of OUR Third nightmare. Oh, BTW, I learned some other stuff there. 😆
He is no longer a carrier of the Spell, so his runes are gone to Nephis. She is assuming that means Sunny is dead and something (like the skin walker) is wearing him - possessing his abilities and memories... just like they left in the nightmare desert before the 3rd nightmare.
The Mad Prince was going to share all of this with Sunny in the dream, but Sinny stopped him. 'I want to tell you a secret ' It wasn't to spread the corruption, it was to break the thousands of cycles. If through Weaver's forbidden lineage, he has Dream God's, then that's why the Mad Prince could influence/infiltrate dreams.
True, but... in Ch 1566 G3 wrote: "The sword wraith... looked more substantial somehow." He doesn't usually add details like that without some reason, it seems to be going somewhere. Sinny has been getting more and more real throughout this nightmare and where would that peak besides in the heart of the tomb? The 'Whisper of Ariel' knows what Sunny knows, plus retains memories between loops. What would be more maddening than suddenly being able to use Sunny's flaw against him at the moment of his potential triumph?
So you think we'll get resolution tomorrow or the next day? That's optimistic. 😆 I'm waiting to get thrown in for another time loop.
I'm worried that Sunny should be wearing Weaver's mask. If inside the source, the Sin of Solace' becomes more than an apparition, Sunny may have to respond to a question, "what do you want the most?". I suspect his previous versions were forced to answer honestly and it was the end of Nephis, since there is only one honest answer and cannot be made strategically.
If Nephis hadn't done so on the Forgotten Shore, Mordret would have in the Night Temple.
Now the Shadows can come out to play, including Nightmare.
He knows Nephis would burn the planet down before allowing him to get away with something like that.
On an unrelated note, I was thinking about the Kingdom of Hope and the connection to the ToA. There were two portals in the dream realm - one where Noctis' knife remained at the Sanctuary of Noctis, and one where the knife for The One in the North ended up in the Night Temple. Since there were three knives unused (Solvane's) until Sunny used it, why isn't there a portal on Shipwreck Island (or on the Chain Breaker)? Also, since we've accounted for Solvane and seen signs of Noctis here (Ananke's mantle [Tasteless]), when are we gonna see evidence of The One in the North? Are these journals part of it?
If Nephis is Dreamspawn, she was born (or at least conceived) in the dream realm. If she is also nephilim (unholy union) and her mother was Smile of Heaven, then either Broken Sword is not her father or he is not who we think he is.
Couldn't be. There may have been a connection through their nightmares, but the members of The Nine we are aware of appear to have existed pre-spell.
Wasn't it his conversation with the government transcendent, Saint Cor, when he talked about Sunny's lack of 'perspective'?
