Still thinking that the Gods were humans that interacted with the unknown to gain Godly powers, as they grew stronger from absorbing the Unknown they were still dragged down (or one could say strengthened) by their human aspects (hope, choice… fate). These aspects, tho apart of them when they fought back the Unknown, proved to be a distraction and thus the “Flaws” were sent away never to be looked at. Thus the daemons were born.
I would like a day where there are 4 or 5 chapters! I'm so hungry for this story it hurts at times to be forced to read so slow and so little. the story makes up for the pains by being an slaving tale, full of relevant feelings, ideas, needs, fears, and desires. I just wish I could read for an hour and not show down, knowing the next click of my finger will bring me to an end! .....SO SO SO GOOD, THANK YOU WITHOUT FOR SHARING YOUR TALENT AND THIS STORY WITH US. It is a blessing and a gift to know this story.
this chapter just made it click. the daemons are the gods' flaws, so if added what this chapter said about heracles' shadow then that means.... that means the gods had to separate their flaw from themselves. thus the daemons were born, so the gods no longer have a flaw. ahhh why didn't I think of this sooner
Im starting to think that Gods and Daemons are 1 level above the current system of 7 cores and 7 ranks. The spell says that the battle between the Daemon and an Unholy Titan damaged the pyramid and created the desert, and I’m wondering why it might describe them differently, because you would assume the Gods and Daemons both reached the ends of their respective ascents/descents, with the Gods being Divine beings and Daemons being Unholy. But the spell hasn’t seem to described them that way, so I think either there’s a step beyond the ranks to become a God/Daemon, or something to drastically change them once they reach the end of the power system
