Frankly this chapter is not needed. It would be better to let the readers try to figure out what happend. Just like everyone else that is in the story. This is the equivalent of a magician revealing his secrets.
The only thing missing is an alibi, unless he used his newly unlocked powers of.. let's call it Shadow Cloning... to create a duplicate of himself hanging out somewhere where some members of Valor could observe him while the battle took place.
