I can see the attachment to Nepis she in all since of the matter, gave her life for his he knows what being alone is like and how hard it really is, he doesn't wish that on anyone and in the Forgotten Shore he knew that was worse to be a lone it drove him a little insane. Sunless also grew an attachment to the two girls the most they formed a bound in the Labyrinth, just like he knows Nephis hates her hair being silver. I was hoping, still am hoping he sends the hair changing memory to Nephis so she knows they haven't forgotten her or just moved on from her. He should know he can still help her even if he is not with her. I don't think this is the end of the Forgotten Shore gang, I believe Nephis is coming back and she is going to grow her clan from the Forgotten people. Well for Sunless talking to Nephis in his mind he learned the hard way talking out loud, can get him betrayed, should he forgive cassie, yes I think he should she had to make a hard choice, but trust her no,trust is hard to come by, you have to earn trust back. I will end my comment here because I could go on forever . Excited to read more of Sunless I can associate with him.
Do any of you people understand what having human connections means? This is a guy with nothing that made two close friends that understood him better than anyone he had ever known, to the point of being almost like siblings to him. They've saved each other's lives on multiple occasions and performed an almost insurmountable feat together just to make it out on the other side. Yeah, he thinks about them a lot, people in the real world think about a person that saved them from a housefire for years after it happened even if they never spoke to them again after that. People think about a sibling that died even if they were only in that person's life for a few years. People never forget friends they had in highschool even if decades go by. He is two months out of the most traumatic and difficult time of his life, losing both of the closest people to him, and knowing one of them is still alive out there somewhere that he just cant reach. So yeah, he's probably gonna visit Neph's comatose body on occasion and her mother because he cares, he's gonna think about how much Cassie's betrayal hurts him because she made him lose the feeling of ever being able to truly be free again, and he's gonna think about both of them because, to this point, they have been the two most personally influential people he's ever met in his life. And I'm here for it, the rest of you that are impatient can leave, but I love every bit of what this author does, and I hope they stick to how they love to write because it's some of the best work I've ever read.
The comments are getting spicy but in my opinion Sunny's bevavior is totally understandable. He has ambitions and big goals but I think right know, he is still kind of trying to figure out how to live on. He is connected to Nephis through many levels and he was willing to give up his 'freedom' by staying in the dreamrealm with her until he became her literal obeying slave, so why not visit her sometimes? Even if he's talking to her in his thoughts, it's not that unusual, when you don't have any other real 'friends'. They were/are a lot more than just friends.
Kinda feel sorry for sunny, he was alone before the dream realm, now he is alone once again. people say that it is forced or that sunny should move on, but I don't think so. These three have been through better or worse from the beginning of their journey for sunny to move on. they were fated together then, I think they are still fated together after. looking forward for more chapters.
I think itâs interesting that he has the same attachment to her that everyone else does. The pot is calling the kettle black. I understand his loneliness and why he is struggling still with Cassieâs betrayal. He belonged for once in his life and now he doesnât belong again. Cassie now has folks following her and has support where as he is right where he started. Kai and Effie are off doing their own thing and will likely drift apart over time. I hope he makes a new friend that can keep him company and help him grow.
