What makes this scene more impactful is that Sunny can only tell the truth and Cassie (I believe?) knows it.

He really dealt well with cassie she doesn't deserve forgiveness. I understand him feeling bad but she betrayed him and took his freedom away from him. She could have left both her best friend fight and let the best one win instead of giving an unfair advantage to one of them. this way she wouldn't have betrayed none of them. She made a choice and with every decision has consequences.

I only wish he had been more specific. If he had told her explicitly that Neph was never in danger of dying (from Sunny) and that if she hadn't done anything Sunny would've stayed. Twist the dagger just that liiiiittle bit more. Man, I'm vindictive.

I have to admit, I thought that this would end up with Cassie rallying people against Sunny, refusing to accept that what happened wasn't his fault, but this is a better outcome I think. No self-deception, no Sunny trying to play the anti-hero and take the blame, it's kinda refreshing to see.

I like how sunny is depicted as human, how even when he is hurting her with the bitter truth, it hurts him too. he genuinely thought of her as a friend..

I feel so taken aback by all the people wanting Cassie dead. I get that Sunny is hurt she chose Neph over him and it's fine to me that their friendship might be over, but really to go that far? Cassie loves him almost as much as she does Neph and if it's not Sunny being weighed against Neph or her family like in that terrible situation, then I don't think she would ever betray him. Like legit if I had her ability and I saw a vision that told me my dad was going to kill my mom if nothing changes that would be one of the f-ed up situations I can imagine and I genuinely feel bad for Cassie. To have to choose between two of the people you love most is a fate she shouldn't have had to deal with, but it comes with her ability. For me, it's all about the intention. She loves them both and she did whatever she could think of. It's a shame their friendship was hurt by this and Neph is still trapped regardless, but really to want to kill her he would have to be a lot more cruel. What if her vision was the opposite and told her Neph would kill Sunny and she had chose Sunny instead and gave a secret weakness of hers to Sunny in the hopes that it might allow him to survive the vision? Would that make people feel different? Since it seems exactly the same to me.

Wow! look like there are a lot of kids here who faint know how real-life work. they only pushed forward their emotions and think. I know most of us root for the MC to be the best and most successful at everything because we imagined we are him. but the truth though, if I was Cassie I will make the same decisions. first, the vision wasn't movie-like, so not everything was clear as to how it will happen. all she did was try to prevent what she expected to happen and she choose Neph who has no questionable morals, who save her without the need for payment Sunless has the right to be angry for his secret being exposed and also becoming a slave. but that was also the work of Fate. he can never change that even if Cassie didn't do a thing. Each can be understood but the question was what will he do. if he was Cassie? So, what happened here was just that situation that on the table you can never find anyone at fault. it was just that they will live for their decisions.

I found this chapter very, very satisfying.

Thanks for another amazing chapter dear author. Finally we have mc talking with Cassie face to face after long time of her ignorance. Though i feel lot of Sadness for Cassie and feel she is most pitiful person and no one should go through what she had. After all we saw how knowing just a little incomplete future drove Sunny mad then it's even more torturous for her who sees it all the time and couldn't change it no matter what. But how do I say this Cassie had it coming. I believe her only one fault was not believing Sunny a little more and choosing Neph a little too early and kind of fixing future as it would happen with no hope of changing it. If only she could trust Sunny a little more like Neph and would have left it for two to sort out then none of this would have happened but then again the biggest looser in all story till now is her as she lost two most precious people at same time and that too due to her own choice. Nothing can be more painful than that. I really pity her how she couldn't even perhaps enjoy her stay with family now which she dreamt of every time when Nightmare is over😔😭 But I am also as much angry as Sunny and sympathise with his behaviour and hurting Cassie with his words because he started trusting people and two people he cared for most betrayed him at end(while one decided to do so long ago). Nothing can be as torturous as that too but he is definitely not most pitiful one in situation as he kind of came out with best of two worlds in current situation where he no longer needs to worry about his True Name for time being. Lastly Dear Author i hope we get to see three of friends coming together sometime and repairing their broken hearts and relationships because I really loved their friendship most so i hope you would do something in that regard in future as I don't wish for Cassie to be hurting forever 😔😭 Also it's obvious mc is also hurting from releasing his anger on her
