Well, he's about too face quite a few that match him and even stronger than him if he does not improve his power and if we're using the peak powers in the ending of Naruto Shippuden (Boruto's power levels is BS in my opinion especially in regards to Naruto and Sasuke's powers). Hopefully, this really isn't dropped because at the time of this writing author hasn't posted a new chapter in a month.

I tend to like plot to stay within the rails anyways- unless the author plans to multiverse hop. Massive plot changes tend to require a lot of power... Which eventually trap the author into making OC hax characters to keep up with mc growth.
