This chapter was so heartbreaking but really shows the depth of Riftan’s character. It also shows why the knights were so cold to Maxi at first watching Riftan go through all this. *sigh* only a few chapters left then Book 2!

My heart just breaks for Riftan and Maxi 😭😭😭 Starting the way they did and then never really getting to a place where they understand each other just makes me sick. I'm glad we're seeing Riftan's side of things, but it makes me so sad at the same time...

I love this story but if the author and webnovel are gonna make us wait like that and not show us chapter 42 and what follows without having to buy the privileged reader thingy I'm going to delete this app. Whenever something like this happens I loose interest in the story even more and that's such a shame.

I wish we had Maxi pov more in detail when she woke up and seeing Riftan gone and her conversation with her nursemaid and what just happened. This is what Riftan meant he will never hurt her again both were under the tree and he feels guilty of hurting her on their first night.

Is it me, or are more people who can't unlock Side story chapter 42? Monday 16th I unlocked chapter 41. I was so much looking forward for the next chapter...... Or am I to impatient?
