What if pluto was bruce he could be making a joke that no one would get and he would fit the character.

For Pluto I was thinking Rich or Richard. The joke is on the meaning of Pluto being 'the rich one' It's the same name just a bit more modernized.

Thena could be called Athena

Pluto should have the name of xibalba and thena that of catrina, they would form something similar to the book of life, pluto with his power would deceive humans into believing that he brings the dead to life and the man with the candles would be in reference a new apostle

Pluto was often mistaken for Greek and Pluto is greek so I do not think it must be/should be changed. Thena is the same I think

Why not Clyde Carter as his name, Clyde in honor of the man who discovered the planet pluto and carter in honor of Howard Carter the scientist who discovered The tomb of Toutankhamon

Why not introduce Cleopatra to the princess as they are escaping from the crusade or something. Have Cleopatra explain what an apostle is and then you can make a choice from there. Love the story so far
