yeah he went from normal mc slowly building power to an apathetic character that makes every scene feel meaningless as nothing matters anymore to them as they have spent a year just staring into the distance doing nothing. If they wanted to make this temporary they could have at least written this bit from someone else's perspective since it's honestly kind of boring.
So this is starting to feel like a pointless story. Like if everything ends up doing the exact same major story beats it doesn't really matter if the journey from A to B are different if it changes nothing about what actually happens. It just means that the story is even worse because now he has to become suddenly dumber or have forced plot points in order to make things happen exactly the same.
Ah yes, a robbery happened in britain. Obviously that's related to the third corridor at my school in scotland. That's not a completely insane logic jump at all. /s
What's a morality question doing on an aptitude test that's meant to determine if someone knows magical law?
To be fair I think this is more of a mother faining not knowing for their youngest to speak up rather than her not actually knowing. It's a trick to keep kids engaged and not causing trouble. If she did actually forget about the platform she had to go to for the last 19 years she would be pretty dumb.
That's just the show version. The comics it was anyone could take V but younger typically needed a lot less to have wider power expressions. Each of 'the boys' had the basic set of super strength and some durability from taking a dose of it.
He's running on the power of 'plot' and 'poorly written' right now. He's not bothered by little things like logic or numbers.
This is the same kid that at the age of 12 killed a 50ft long 4k year old basilisk with a sword he found in a hat. I don't think it's that far outside of expectations XD
I'm starting to get the feeling that the original author was just really bad at math XD Forgetting regeneration rates for mana, losing Wis increases randomly, forgetting the Wizard bonus to certain stats. Not adding stats up correctly since lilys protection is +20 to stats and his buff effect also increases his strength so he'd still be a lot stronger than the werewolf.
Just before this there was a whole section on how every 5 levels the wizard bonus goes up by 1. So the +2 bonus would be +3 instead. That's what they are referring to.
The thing is, he doesn't even try to do a single pushup before putting points into it. He also has nothing pressing going on right now, there's no time constraint that he needs to be immediately stronger for. If he'd just tried for a night or two during the weekend to get the easiest points out of the way first then sure I can sort of see some logic behind it. But instead, he's immediately putting points into it wasting the points for some relatively minor immediate gains.
XD 'these people standing over a childs body are speaking about something I don't understand. Better tune them out and ignore them.' No wonder his Int and Wis were so low.
Oh no? The child had to grow up a little? The kids 17, he's just lucky he's not on a s*x offenders list. Maybe now one day his parents can actually not be embarrassed to be seen with him outside of the house.
Lazy writing and stupid characters. Just stab them with a sword and keep the blade inside of them or restrain them rather than repeatedly attack while watching them slowly heal as part of a cinematic scene while wallowing about how useless it is. Heck, could probably just keep the POD on his head for a bit and it might register him as brain-dead for long enough to teleport him out. There's a number of solutions that are just not tried in canon because then issei wouldn't be the hero.
I mean... even if Riser can heal from POD getting his chest disintegrated slowly by an orb while healing would be extremely painful to the point he'd probably give up long before either would run out of power. Heck, their whole thing is 'oh no he can heal fast' just stab him in the spine and keep the blade inside his body. Can't really heal while it's still inside them. It's one of those very obvious solutions to regenerators that aren't really explored because watching the weapon slowly fall out makes for very cinematic scenes.
To be fair, the canon trauma is pretty stupid. Her mom was killed and rather than blame the people who killed her she blames her dad who wasn't there to stop them. Even taking their name over his which is a really weird extra step to support your moms killers for some reason. The whole thing is just lazily done and half-heartedly addressed.
Yeah, Millicas is Sirzechs and Grayfias kid. Pretty sure he wasn't even a thought in the original author at this point in the original story either. Since he wasn't even mentioned until volume 13 and seemed like an attempt to cover some of the dumber plot holes in the story but kind of just led to other plot holes.
The whole concept of this marriage is kind of dumb tbh. She's the heir to the gremory name since her older brother had to give it up to become the current satan. If anything Riser should be marrying into her name since he has siblings that could take over as the heir for him. I feel like she'd be less upset about it if she had total control of his peerage and was able to ignore him for eternity rather than what feels like her parents selling her into slavery. It's one of the bits of the original works lazy writing that's kind of annoying.
