This is Depressing. MC is still dying, what he is experiencing is not true, its an Illusion his brain crafted when he realized he is dying and didn't want to end it like this. As a result for this Desire his Brain put him in dream like state to fullfil his Desire. A Method to Confort himself at the last moments of his life. Similar to Revolving Lantern Theory that allows the brain to recall all information it has stored to up to escape the life and death predicament one is currently experiencing. But this one is on reverse, instead of recalling things on memory, things are being fabricated based on the memories to fullfil MC's Desire.

What a legendary tier simp MC, he never even thought about the fact that HE should be the one giving her a happy ending, only considered various routes to let her end up with the main cast, as if his heart wouldn't break in a million pieces seeing that happening after putting in that much effort while being alive by her side, truly ridiculous.
