You do realize that elfs use magic every day, even if its just the cleaning spell of the fixer spell and a few defense spells they are still better at magic then wizards are they just don't do more then they are supposed to, like how dobby was able to stop harry and ron from going through the wall for the train which by the way has been up for hounded of years and how he over rids the enchantments on the nimbus 2000 which by the way are powerful, so yes elfs are very powerful but are stop from going agenst there masters because of there race from being made that way and not by having there will taken control of, there are under contracts and bind to them.
