How is his ability activating? Is it automatically got activated when he is in danger, or is he the one who is doing it manually? If so, then what is the point of all that narration about how bad he wanted to die? And how tf he keep using his ability at the right time? He is a normal human, no? There is no way he could see those arrows are coming toward him with their speed, and the sword too, it's all of them so slow that an average human with no training to see fast objects coming could block all that, sure, but here lie the problems that he keeps Pausing them at the right time, not too fast or too late, which should be impossible IMO, I guess he is genius then.

Well, that's very America to discuss property and financial damages than lives first. Stil, you can't use the world "casualty" as adjective for the amount of damage done by the Calamity. I think "losses" would be better instead of casualty. Not unless you're actually talking about the number of deaths instead of the value of damage done.
