I'm really enjoying this story. Of all the mythical existences turning into a werewolf is most often implied that they feel cursed. So it is hard to guess how Gary feels about 'turning' those around him that he cares about. He lives in a dog eat dog world so giving them the power to protect themselves makes sense to me. Is he facing a moral dilemma? Is he being selfish? is he wanting to protect those around him? Granted to ponder these questions... Gary would require exponentially greater critical thinking skills. His mum is in a coma. I think if he turned her...her new werewolf powers would fix her. His sister would be in less danger if she had werewolf powers. His gang members would be more powerful if they were werewolves...
