Cedric is a good start, it goes without saying that people wouldn't vote for the novel if it wasn't. You can comment "I don't like Cedric because ..." but why give this novel a bad grade for something like that? That seems disrespectful to me. The important thing is to have fun reading and if there are people who don't like your novel, they should go away, period. Don't stress over people like that, you don't owe them anything.
