If he boosts everyone up to his level then what is the point of him being strong. The pills are his only advantage. If he brings everyone up to his level then what will make him special. And so what if he is more powerful than them? If they stop being his friend because he is stronger than them then they are not his real friends, they would just be jealous little Ron Weasleys. I really don't agree with his choice to give them pills.
