seems a bit forced no? That somehow Arethas would have no guards, no communication with the emperor, for the entirety of the war? Surely that's not the case. Also. What? Arethas has the deal with Austria. His men know that. What will they do when Austria stops shipment?

I completely agree with top comment. He would definitely have traceable communication during war which would give the ruse straight away. Also, people talk and he would be seen a lot by a lot. There is zero chance prince could bury this murder up. Simply put, either prince, or sadly author in this case, goofed.
