NOPE . JUST NOPE. This is just the plot hammer hitting ren on the head. You re telling me the union needs a truce to "recuperate" when it just lost 1 person while there are more arguably far stronger than that one and refuse to fight?What losses ? They clearly dont are about the 10 D or C rankers that died and even if they did its still not much of a loss. Is it destroyed infastracture or economic problems? The .why put a 10 billion bounty on someone and waste even more? The monolith has lost so many s rankers , its teleportation portals and 2 of its most important members are seriously wounded? Even if the truce is for 1 month or even less( since it is clearly implied truce or at least dialog about stopping the fighting has happened before since the monolith and union heads know and have met each other) why would you give the time to people who will clearly backstab you that are clearly on the brink of collapse. Ren said the union had an item that can teleport anywhere , so why is it not used to fight the monolith head? Lets he cant be found. Then why not destroy the remaining of the monolith ? Their losses are clearly far more!! Bring the whole union in the fight .The union head clearly sees numbers and not people . Killing the devil contracted monolith members will save so many more people and its so easy to see. Kill millions and save billions. i really find their logic asinine. i can only suspend my disbelief so much. unless im wrong i guess

Union heads are really stupid. How can there be any negotiation with mortal enemy? If Monolith give so much for 876(Ren) there must be a valid reason - more than just for revenge. If this request is so important for Monolith it must be denied at all cost. Actually Monolith is also stupid to highlight importance of 876 as the only condition for truce. It could be hidden between others terms of the contract. BTW, the strongest is not necessarily the smartest. So it's not too unreasonable for the heads of Unoion to make mistakes.
