This is the dumbest thing a person can do, man who is in the black market and where you should not trust anyone even your shadow. And to help them stupidly now he has a feeling or has he forgotten the world he wrote with his hand?
I don't mean to disrespect, but the early chapters are super important in attracting readers. Anyone can say at the x number chapter everything will make sense, cuz now all I have to go on is blind faith in it'll get better and to get to that point it cost me coins as well. And the issue with this section is that it's just this inconsistency with what you have built so far, if you wanted to make him naive and eventual get punished to learn from it, I wouldn't have had a problem, heck that'll be a good character development. But to have him be so cautious one minute and then disregard it later with bad justification that everything will eventually works out instead of preparing for the worst since he die once and apparently don't want to experience it again, it create a certain inconsistencies in character design.
