If I had to choose a pokemon in its first form for a trip it would be mudkip I really liked its final evolution swampert

If u are going for legendaries i think zygarde is the best option, the whole guardian dragon lore would be good to add to the story.

thanks for the chapter..if I had to choose any stage 1 Pokemon for my journey it will be growlithe, it represents tiger but has a personality of a dog, loyal to the core it's evolved form can carry you on its back can also learn teleport.
