Dude I read a Fan Fiction where Shikamaru has a kind of teleport where he dives into the shadow, you could do similar

Hmm if Shikamaru learns Senjutsu I wonder if he could turn himself into a Shadow similar to the Hozuki Clan of Kirigakure.

Can you make it more interesting, cause right now it seems kinda bland. Everything almost feels the same with the training (try experimenting and stuff to liven things up). The interactions seem dry. Theres too much self monalogging The story so far is boring. Just so you know this isn't a personal attack on you. This just how I feel about the story so far, it may change further along the story.
