Ironically, Leonel’s ignorance saved him here. If leonel had thought to rely on his scarlet star and included it in his plan, wise star order would’ve picked up on it and not dived towards his doom. Instead he would’ve probably subdued leonel and then proceed to extract the node all over again and purge the scarlet star in his glabella somehow, and leonel would’ve truly been done for in that case. Now, him not including the node in his plans made the mind reading not pick up on its presence. Though it is also strange how a supposedly powerful soul couldn’t somehow perceive the presence of the node/force in leonel somehow.
