why is everyone acting like he killed their parents when all he did was stay lowkey? i don't understand why they would all get their panties in a bunch about it? are ninja supposed to be clueless idiots who are completely transparent with everyone and are unable to keep a secret? i get what the author is trying to do here, mc is probably going to somehow gain an enlightenment later on and learn how to stop being fake and manipulative because of the power of friendship or something like that, which can be good character development depending on how it's executed, however people getting unnecessarily upset because a man kept his private information secret is way too excessive. that's none of their business if he wants to keep a lifesaving trump card. everyone is acting unreasonable with mc here, so any character development that happens to mc because of this is not going to feel quite right.
