I hope he takes Ash's Charmander don't fear changing the plot you can give Ash some other pokemon at a similar power just low potential. Ash doesn't deserver Charizard making him use a fighting move on a ghost type and just leaving him for 4 seasons. Also you could potentially breed the Charizards for a higher aptitude Charmander since I'm assuming aptitude is related to IVS.

This is why i mostly dont really like fanfictions where the original game and anime characters exist There's also the issue of the characters not capitalizing the events that will happen... Not to mention, they have cheats but still cant beat the luck of the original characters

when I read ho-oh all I could think about was the theory where ash is in a coma after pika shocked him and all the birds, that's why he saw ho-oh and event. all the other rare Pokémon and all the new Pokémon in other regions that didn't exist before and most important its why Ash never ages
