I hope he gets to the tournament and just decides to Spectate. If he wins or even just does well it will bring the gaze of his enemies to him. He wanted years to build but if he does this tournament and gets noticed it essentially ruins his plans. Agreed and he even said just a couple of chapters back he wanted to hide his strength. 8 years should be nothing in the cultivation world and he would still be under 30 (I think that was the age limit).
