the book is fantastic and if author is struggling we'll just have to wait and in my opinion it's definitely worth it so author just take your time dont rush because those of us that genuinely enjoy this book will be here when you start again
Nightwind posted this on discord today: @Challenger No update today, either. We'll see about tomorrow. ....it might be time for the author to fess up....that he is having that most dreaded problem of authors, writer's block I was hoping that once i got past it that i could just pretend it never happened and no one would find out. tbh, i felt feel a bit ashamed to talk to folks on here seems that hiding my head in the sand won't make the problem better. sadangry well... i'm still gonna scurry away after posting this... HOWEVER there is hope for me! Starting in a few days, I'll have a lot more time to spend on this!!! Hopefully it won't be me sitting at my computer staring at a blank screen and will instead be me creating some SUPERB ideas for Floor 3 and beyond. Please wish me luck. And thank you for all your support. Seriously. slight_smile
Take a break if you need to. Starting a new novel might help getting out of the writers block. I would love to see some side stories like that of his friend with surreal luck or some other characters capable of clearing floor with difficulty above extreme. You have built a great world and I would love to see more of it.
This is why I don't spend money on original novels, because despite the fact that they are getting paid for what they do, they are still often amateurs without professional standards or mindset. Loads of newbie authors don't know that writing is a job and oftentimes you have to just sit at your desk and grind away. Doesn't matter if you have no inspiration, just start writing and eventually you'll come up with something. But most of the writers are still in their honeymoon phase where everything comes easily and once that ends, they flake, choke and it becomes clear they are amateurs at heart. Or the: 'My grandparent who's 96 died, and now I'm totally devastated and can't work for a month.' Try that in any other profession or even as a professional author who works for a publisher. You'll get laughed out of the room, told to stop whining and get maybe a week off if you're lucky after which: 'get back to work!'
