You know, I don't mind this ending...I think? It was rushed and I have a lot of questions, but at least the last line made it clear that the Immortal Devouring Beast was defeated and the world won't end. Just a few more paragraphs would have been nice though. Something like: "Startled by those words, Lin Jin woke up and saw Xiao Hou standing above the dead Immortal Devouring Beast. Xiao Hou was now at rank 9! Lin Jin's thinking had been right! Lin Jin and Tianzun grabbed the stone fragment from the dead beast. There was just 1 fragment left. Before, Lin Jin hadn't known where in his body the fragment could be, but in the 7 years, he had discovered its location. Before removing it, however, Lin Jin quickly redid his blood contract with Xiao Huo since he needed it to control the other beasts he had blood contracts with. This method of recontracting a beast was the last bit of knowledge he would get from the Museum. Slowly, Lin Jin placed his hand over his heart and pushed gently. His hand disappeared into his chest. Lin Jin pulled out the stone that had been in his heart. The previous owner of Lin Jin's body had died because over exhaustion had strained his heart. So it only made sense that the Heaven Foundation Stone fragment was in his heart. Lin Jin and Tianzun went over to the Heaven Foundation Stone and the fragments clicked into place. It was completely mended. Tianzun closed his eyes and did a divination for ten hours. Tianzun opened his eyes with a grin on his face. 'We did it!' he told Lin Jin. Tianzun decided to stay on the Immortal Mountain and build a new furnace, but Lin Jin was ready to go back to Maple City. With Xiao Hou being the only rank 9 beast, Lin Jin no longer needed to worry about any enemies he might have in the future. Perhaps he would go track down the Visitors to the Museum of Deadly Beasts. He could finally help them further evolve their beasts. And he'd like to see how far he could evolve Goldy without the Museum's help. The end!"
Wait...no. A little more! Does he get a family? Does anyone know of his sacrifice? Does he get to reunite with his beloved pup? I LOOOOOVED this book! But the ending... a little to abrupt. Interesting that he got to go live his other life again though. But what about all his life here? Still the most wonderful story. Lin Jin is one of the best protagonists ever. Thank you for it.
Its been a journey reading this novel, its a combination of a few of my favourite novels (library of heaven's path, and the lord of the mysteries) and yet it felt completely new and unique. It had a really great story and character progression and I would have liked a better ending, maybe with an epilogue or something, but its not the worst ending I've read.
okay this is my ending review for the book after going completely through the story and loving it. I left my completely honest thoughts and it's very long-winded with no grammar checks because I'm lazy so if you read it cheers if you don't at least I got my thoughts out my only complaint with the ending is that it's obviously rushed. It's not bad but it could have been a little bit more fleshed-out with less loopholes. one of the main things I'm a little bit upset about is that while we got to understand what the Museum of beasts was actually functioning with it would have been better to see the author expand more on the ending perhaps with LIN meeting up with those who arguably helped him out in his progression a lot in a showing that he was the curator or at least expanding more upon it because it was such a great idea and I love this novel. But at least in my opinion I feel like it would have been a better story if it focused more on the Museum of beasts and actually helping a lot of beasts evolve and get appraised instead of everything being done by the museum and not Lin. I'm not saying I don't like this story I love it, but I feel like it would have been an interesting direction for the novel to go. Because there have been plenty of these I'm assuming this is a Chinese novel or something similar where we don't see as much development when it comes to the actual system that gives power to our protagonist and instead see it focus more towards a cultivation approach solely or political in some cases. and that's kind of what happened with this novel, in the beginning we see a lot of stuff happening with the museum and then as lin get stronger it isn't told off but it's definitely not used like it was in the beginning. And while this all sounds like a long-winded iteration of what I've already said I'm just going to put out that I absolutely blazed through 100 chapters of this book in about 10 hours and I haven't slept in two days and this is as coherent of a review as I'm going to be able to put out. But yeah novel was beautiful but it took the cliche quotation turn and didn't focus on a completely unique aspect of the museum like we had not bad though
I have a theory.author : diabolic eggplant with just one book. eggplant : "They looked like goose or chicken eggs, which led to the name âeggplant." maybe "diabolic easter egg"Title : "Museum of..." : Museum is for conservation of data (futur)1st chapter : "Lin Jin slapped Xiao Huo on the head.Just then, Lin Jin felt pain as if a lightning bolt exploded in his brain, crackling loudly. In an instant, a radiant light shone from his head. In the midst of Lin Jinâs astonishment, he hears a chorus of roars and howls of a thousand beasts, drumming in his ears, followed by the melody of cries and chirps of bugs and birds, lightly strumming his heartstrings.A light flashed before him, the clouds dispersed and a white jade hall appeared with a stone tablet at the entrance that read âMuseum of Deadly Beastsâ : Stone tablet at the first chapter and it was the action of slapping xiao huo who triggered the museum...1st chapter too : Status: "Heavily injured with three hidden injuries which are..." "Lin Jin had no idea how this guy managed to stay alive until now"Curator : we think about museum but can have other definition like "tutor for disabled person" (like when an apocalist come)Daojun : can be like "the dao" (equal) (not sure, read on internet dictionary)We can think of an immortals who try to solve the problem and think he is strong enoughLinjin : can be like "present choice" (not sure) like no more immortals can solve that, give that to a beast.Chapter 436 : Lin jin see the dao mask who is near the same and lin jin really look identical to Daojun in his opinion.I dont find where but i remember that he try to remember something and can't do it.There is some similarity with the disciple of daojun and the actual person in the visitation hall too (too late for search).At the final chapter " Young friend is use at the end and when he comeback from 7 years on the land for searching stone".We learn that the mortal layer is forbidden for immortals too.The ennemy fused with the saint, we learn stone can do that. We learn that with equilibrium it's ok.So my theory is that the immortal emperor was a cunning man and fused with a rank 8 beast voluntary or not and achieved rank 9. He lose sanity and aim just at immortals by instinct. He is equally strong at the law of heavens and he is an abomination know as the immortal devouring beast.Lin jin transmigrated (no mention saying dying) two times. He lose on daojun but win on lin jin (last sentence in real world) with Xao Huo who is certainly part of transmigation too or time travel.The last sentence is for lin jin who don't know if it was real or not.So lin jin is probably in the mortal layer many years later. Beast and immortals are certainly in the other layers now (he love to be a mortal, love the heavens). He saved the world and they want to let him know.He can't stay, or we can say that there is no more dialog because the museum comeback to the stone (He think about that near the beginning "maybe the museum can be retake" or something like that). And the only one who survive to that is the saint with a body cultivate since a very very very long time.
