There are quite a number of people who could harm soren at this point in the story. Outside of the obvious one's; the current Yonko's, Dragon, the admirals and such, he should have been very wary of Blackbeard. This being because of the dark-dark fruit obviously. The dark-dark fruit's ability to nullify devil fruit abilities not only strips him of a considerable amount of his power but also cripples his healing factor. The only reason he is alive at this point. Yet somehow right in front of his eyes when he knew what was about to happen, blackbeard got away with the dark-dark fruit. By blinding Ace, Marco and Soren with a flash bomb. If Ace and Marco would be blinded by flashes of light they would be unable to use their devil fruits effectively in the first place. That Would have killed him and thus prevented blackbeards escape with the fruit and the creation of a very dangerous foe. A foe with the ability to use two devil fruits. If this whole scene is created with the idea of making Blackbeard a major antagonist it is incredibly lame since soren damn well knew what was going to happen when Thatch pulled out that particular fruit. This entire scenario feels very forced to me.
Sorry to say that but this scene was VERY forced. How Teach arrived so fast behind Tatch and managed to kill him being that he (Tatch) was in front of Soren, and Soren was keeping an eye on Teach at the time. It was impossible for Teach to have killed Tatch like that. And the worst was Soren aiming at the leg and not the head. Sorry but it was difficult to accept this scene. Google translator
