Why would the student union strip him of his position if he had held onto it thus far? Wouldn't there have to be some catalyst?

Did the US invade any weak African countries? Is this something China spreads? We invaded a weak East European country a few times (afghan, Iraq), but never africa. Are they thinking of G.B?
