From what I can see here, the MCs Intelligence is quite good. So how is it that it's about 4 or sth? His ability to judge and plan things out seems to go beyond that. I believe, we would be taking stats you obtained before being admitted to the academy. Therefore, the girl prob. was good at studying, thus obtaining more Int points. The MC too, did study in a way. He studied how to recognize patterns and how to exploit weaknesses (thru games etc) His intelligence should not be below 10, to say the least.
