He better lose this fight and get hurt badly. He's not yet a Magus but can fight a Grand Magus? That's just ridiculous. How many levels are left for his Divine Dao Technique? He still only knows the basics of alchemy and formations and barely made his new fighting technique. He doesn't even understand the origins of his bloodline nor master it. The story relies way too much on mysterious beings granting free power ups. The secondary characters with the support of their multigalactic civilizations/factions aren't even close to him and they had incomparably better starts. It's getting boring.
Mysterious beings granting free power ups again. Zach is a Magus that has received the best treatment from his faction and the Academy from the start. He also has one of the strongest bloodlines to date and obviously has been trained to make the most of it. It's believable that being 2v1 against Commander Bug Guy with the Nephilim they'd hold on minutes against a Grand Magus. Emery is barely halfway to Magus and doesn't have anywhere near the same amount of training or knowledge as he's from a lower world. He only has a literal kid tree that he was given by Mysterious Plant Mage Guy with the instruction manual and a lazy writing boost from Butterfly Family. If he doesn't lose it makes absolutely no sense storywise. Let's not even get started with Emery's ever increasing talent.
ThespianGamr:He can only fight a grand magus with the temporary boost given by the primordial wisp butterflies. He could maybe exchange blows with a weak one otherwise, but should be around Zach's level equivalent to a fullmoon magus.
