MC had at least a few opportunities to be a leader. He was assigned the role by the NPC leader and he's supposedly an awesome strategist. One of the chapter comments stated that he had no right to order people around in this situation, because it would just make people angry at that point. I agree that this would have happened, if he had bounded in there, throwing orders around. You just can't do that without first instilling trust, respect, or fear. And, trust me on this... respect bred from fear isn't true respect., but is rather comparable to the respect one holds for a wild beast. A leader doesn't have to order people around to get things done. 1. A leader leads by example and 2. A clear assessment of the situation, along with: a. Providing promising strategy recommendations. b. Requesting alternative strategies. c. Being open to changing the plan on the fly and clearly communicating the need for this option, along with - how to tell when a change is required. That's the leadership short list. The ability to primp like a poppinjay and politicize/ladder climb (oops... look good and socialize) is just frosting... until they forget that they cultivated those skills in the first place to accomplish good deeds. Because if their aim was different (evil) originally, they would be relying on inspiring fear through acts of intimidation and brutality.
Tips: Scouts need to be unseen so as to be successful in accessing and returning therefore scouts wouldn't use horses. Usually only calvary would use horses in battle. Can you pm me? I want to see the players band up to overthrow the city because using them like that completly removed all trust between the parties. Even if they are immortal it doesn’t mean they don’t feel pain or can’t lose xp and items they worked hard for. Absolutely unacceptable from the NPC side and a stupid move
You're really playing up the whole "everyone except the MC is stupid" aren't you? He's not even pro and there are supposed to be millions of players so it makes absolutely no sense for him to have been the first to try anything. Also do gay people not exist in your universe? MC's favorite NPC is always talking about how they're always only liked for their looks, disregarding the fact that that's entirely what the MC did, I find it odd that she is somehow everyone's type.
