Why doesn't the author make the goblin use the will of Harry's father and mother? After all, he was saying that the one who knew the location of the house was not Sirius, but the mouse. This would remove Sirius' accusations, and he could return to society normally. Besides, Dumbledore also knew, it can incriminate him, the goblins would be happy with it, since the more screwed up Dumbledore is, the happier the goblins will be.
hey guys, I am a student at a law university right now and unfortunately I have to tell you that it does not work like that. To acuse someone like Ms Figgs of negligence there should be an 'positive action'. Unfortunately the lack of actions from her does not count as such, that is why the chances of her suffering some consequences is practically nonexistent. I just cheked this with my teacher so I can confirm that there is no consequence as you did not break the law, but the moral code which is not punishable (at least in UK)
