Wow Jim became a much better villain in one chapter. Before it knowing he was behind everything but lacked a motive other then him researching the originals to become one. But now we find out that he was the one who woke Eno up and that all the experiments he did were at the vampire kings request. Really changes how I view him still wrong and he is going to the extreme but the fact he went looking for Vincent before he lost it really hits that this could have been avoided. Also nice showing how much Jim cares about Vincent as well even attending his funeral makes him seem so much more human. A bit of a stretch making Quinn's MC hit zero after one punch. I think he should have lost a big chunk but not so much that he loses all of it.
As I have said... Quinn is simply too weak. I can't wait to see the developments from here. Granted, the 6 spike Dalki have limited time to live, they have more than one punch in them and are faster than Quinn. Since Quinn's MC points are now zero, shadow travel is no longer an option and he wouldn't be able to access Shadow Overload either. Unless Quinn evolves someone else is going to die protecting Quinn. At least he should get a quest of "survive battle with 6-spike Dalki" as it would be nearly impossible to win. Even if he calls his knights to his aid, it wouldn't change much other than the body count since Erin and the Demon Tier sword would be left behind.
wondering, is anyone else curious about what Jim and eno were talking about when jim said 'why didn't you teach people how powerful our ability truly is' and eno responded with 'the fact you say that makes me fear the deals you have made' (deals referring to the equivalent exchange/their ability) just curious if anyone else was like 'Wait up a sec... what?!?!' and if all the abilities came from the tablet what are there some abilities that only vampires can learn....?
The one punch Nerf. Quinn has got to stop using his shadow for defence through blocking, He really needed to learn Arthur's spacial shadow trick where he uses the shadow to send attacks elsewhere. The shadow ability wasn't for tanking attacks. I thought Quinn already understood this but I figure being punched by a giant lizard man is going to throw anyone off their game.
Getting some real backstory gives Jim a much more human feel. haha. But this is what happens when you tie your self worth to what others think -- you are an easy target to be used. All Jim is doing is throwing a tantrum and expecting it to get him what he wants. I've raised toddlers. It doesn't work Jim!
