definitely not part of the families; if he was then why would the author have brought up the punishers? yes the punishers could be of later involvement but if that's the case then the author would risk waiting to long and all of us forgetting about the punishers. I like this "punisher" so far though because he saved the people, I'd love for him and Quinn to get closer to maybe make Quinn powerful enough to handle the other vampire families
There were only 13 families and the punishers were the only ones with the shadow ability. When Quinn made his family, his family became the holder of the 10th seat which was vacant until then. I'm guessing that the vampires were already on other worlds by the time the 13 families wanted to get rid of the punishers for being too powerful, and the vampire town they found was one of the towns the punishers operated out of which became a battlefield while Arthur was still in eternal sleep. And as thanks for waking him up, Arthur will probably seek out Quinn and maybe Fex, and he will probably become Quinn's teacher considering that he is way too strong for any of the current characters on Quinn's side to defeat.
