Are contracts about to enter the stage? I have always deemed the lack of contracts/oaths that bound different parties a flaw in the lore of the novel; granted the MC powers up very quickly that such contracts weren’t needed as a device to progress the plot, it is nonetheless a flaw in my opinion.
