Chapter 3

"Wake up, Dariantha. We're already here."

I woke up when I heard a soft pat on my cheek. I did not realize I fell asleep. It's already afternoon because when the shooting got finished. When we got out from Kaid's car, Ackley, Lynn, and Dalton were already waiting for us.

I roam around my gaze and realize we are in a hotel here in Batangas. We already went here before, but we never did it again because it's pretty far away from our houses. And yes, we're living here in Philippines.

"Why are we here, Lynn? Are we going to hang out here?" I asked her, and she nodded as her response.

"I also missed it, Dari. Don't worry, I paid for it already even before we came," she smiled. "I already planned this just the other day. We can relax here. There weren't too many people, so maybe, they won't recognize us anymore." She even laughed a bit.

We went inside and just like what Lynn told us, she already paid, so they gave us the key to the two rooms.

We were about to go to the elevator when we heard a shout, causing us to turn to the person who caused that sound. "Just a moment!" A girl who looks like a teenager approached us. "I am a big fan of you all, especially Ackley! Can I have an autograph?" She still looked thrilled when she looked at Ackley.

She gave Ackley a paper, let him sign it, before the latter gave it to me. I signed it and gave it to Kaid, who's smiling at me. The girl really looks like a big fan of Ackley for she took pictures with him, but only with him though.

When we got in the elevator, Ackley spoke. "I though no one will notice us here, Lynn?"

The latter laughed. "I said, not too many people, I didn't say no one will notice us. Also, it's because we didn't even wear a cap."

"You will wear a cap even though it's already night time? Are you crazy, Lynn? Or just crazy?" Kaid replied, causing Lynn's eyes to glare at him.

"Just shut up, will you? Also, what you said were just both the same. I am not the crazy one here because it's you. Crazy overㅡ"

She didn't finish her sentence when Kaid covered her mouth. He whispered something to her before letting go. Lynn went near me while smiling at Kaid. Even if I don't know what's happening, I just ignored them. They were always like that, anyway.

Actually, only to Ackley Kaid wasn't being like that. Because if it's Ackley, he's always in his serious mode, but with us, playful mode.

The elevator opened, and we were on the top floor, 30th floor. I was holding Ackley when an open window welcomed us. I have an Acrophobia, that's why I'm super afraid of heights.

Last time, we were only on the 10th floor that's why I'm not that scared, but now, we're super high. He held me when I almost fell. I stood up straight, letting go of his arm before fixing myself. "Sorry, Ackley."

He smiled. "Don't worry, it's okay, Dariantha. I know you have an Acrophobia. Just close your eyes, then let me guide you." I obeyed him and closed my eyes. I inhaled and exhaled before I felt his hand on my shoulder. After a few minutes, he removed his grip. Thus, I opened my eyes.

"Thank you, Ackley."

"Anything for my half-sister." He ruffled my hair that he always does to me.

I entered the room on the left before Lynn followed me. The three were in the other room. "Does Dalton already have a girlfriend, Dari?" she turned to me.

"I think there is because he said he had a date earlier before he came to us. Why, Lynn? You like my brother, huh?" I smirked, the teasing one. They say I'm kind, but honestly, I also like to tease, especially if it's my friends I tease.

She frowned. "Is it bad, Dari? Don't you like me for your brother? If yes, go ahead, it's okay, just don't be mad at me," she sighed.

I approached her and hugged her. "You know what, Lynn? I don't like you for my brother. Cause I super like you for him. So don't frown there if you don't want to look ugly. Your fault if my brother might not like you if you are being like that." I laughed, so she laughed too.

"Thank you, Dari. You really are the best among all of my best friends." She hugged me back. Lynn has been in the acting industry a year longer than I do, so she also has many friends. And she considered some of them her best friends.

"Let's sleep for now, Dari. We already have things here so we can go swimming in the pool tomorrow."

After it, I did my night care routine. Lynn did the same. We went to our beds. Lynn was in the bed closer to the window because when it was me, I might suddenly feel dizzy.

I suddenly remembered the flower that someone gave me. Because after my name had been writtenㅡor engraved, probablyㅡthere is a thing '<3' like that at the end; it means heart. I also remembered how Kaid and Ackley looked at each other before, it seemed like they were always fighting through their deadly glares.

As I thought about things, I did not realize that I had fallen asleep.

The next morning, when I woke up, I saw another flower on my bedside table. Who put it here? Lynn was the only one with me? I looked at the stem, and just like yesterday, my name was engraved there with '<3'.

It's a lotus flower today, while yesterday was a rose.

Lynn came out of the comfort room, so I immediately hid the flower. We went downstairs to a restaurant there to eat breakfast. Lynn immediately sat beside my brother, which made me shook my head. You can obviously see that she loves my brother so much.

Ackley was about to sit next to me when Kaid suddenly sat down beside me and smirked at him. I gave Kaid deadly glares before pushing him away. "Let Ackley sit beside me, Kaid. I also want to sit next to my half-brother."

His smirk faded, which made Ackley the one who was smirking now. Seriously, what is there with these two? He even fought with me because he said he wanted to be with me, but in the end, he also gave up. He left, so Ackley quickly sat down beside me.

Honestly, I want Ackley to sit beside me, so I can ask him what's happening. Because if I ask Kaid, I definitely won't have a sensible answer.

We ordered our foods. While the order was not yet there, Lynn talked to Dalton while Kaid was using his phone. And I think now is the perfect time for me to ask Ackley.

"Ackley," I whispered. I lowered down my voice for them not to hear us.

"Yes?" he whispered back.

"What's going on between you and Kaid? Yesterday, you glared at each other just because whose car I was going to ride in."

It looked like my question startled him. "Ah, nothing. I think your friend Kaid likes you, so I want to keep you away from him for now."

My forehead twitched. "Huh? Why is that? Also, what you said is very impossible. Kaid doesn't like me because we just treat each other like we're siblings. There is no malice in that. Is it because we are a love team, he already likes me?" I forced a laugh, but deep inside, I felt like I was nervous too.

He sighed. He was about to speak when our food arrived. We were just eating quietly when a girl approached us. "Are you Dariantha and Kaiden?"

Kaid and I smiled at her. "Yes, that's us. Do you need anything?" Kaid asked her. I saw based on her expression that he could not believe he saw us. I didn't even know that our love team was also famous.

"Can we take a picture? OMG, you are handsome, Kaiden. And you are so beautiful, Dariantha. Your DariKaid love team is the right love team to stan and support." Kaid and I stood up and approached her. "Hi, can you please take us a picture?"

She handed his phone to Ackley, and I wanted to laugh when I saw his irritation. Yes, Ackley is kind, but he gets irritated when someone asks him to do something when he's eating. He doesn't want to be disturbed when he's eating.

Annoyed, he stood up and got the woman's phone. The woman went between Kaid and me after. Ackley only took one picture, so the woman requested again. He took another picture of us, even though he really wants to eat now.

I smiled when I saw the girls's face when she left. It feels good when you see someone smiling because of you. So I really love acting because I make a lot of people smile even if they just take pictures or autographs.

"Hey, Dariantha. Sit down, the girl was already gone. What else are you smiling at there, huh?"

I turned to Kaid and shook my head. "Nothing, let's just eat." I went back to Ackley's side, and he was still frowning while eating. "Smile, Ackley. You look worse when you're not smiling," I told him, laughing.

After it, he smiled while Kaid suddenly dropped his utensils.
