Yeah the timeskips are becoming a pain to read. Especially when he makes little to no progress during them and it only states he is slightly above average in his speed. Despite using life threatening unorthodox techniques and having a stronger conciousness.
Tbf, he is already much faster than many people his age, and well, considering that the unorthodox technique can only be used three times every two weeks, I would say that this rate of improvement is normal. We aren’t in a world where big increases in cultivation can be achieved through pills but rather a true progression of a genius that has to scrape together his own resources to get stronger. This isn’t a world where there are miraculous plants that can suddenly shorten the journey by how many decades or centuries. This is a world where progress is slow, even for geniuses, even for those that have resources, progress will be slow
So we should expect maybe 4+4+5 years or longer for him to reach Heroic rank? I imagine the Keiser rune will take him to rank 4 first before his diantan. That means he’ll have had a rank 4 body for 20+ years by that time? I wonder how many hundreds of chapters the next 20+ years will take. It took 370+ for the first 27 years. I assume 4th rank will take 200 something chapters potentially then. I wonder what center of power is the one that lets him fly. Long ago I assumed it would have been his body but that wasn’t the case. Is it only when he has all 3 center of power at rank 4 that he can fly? Or maybe it just the diantan but that’s his slowest power tsk he just gets that ability last.
