when I think about isn't this fight useless and could have been avoided? On one hand I don't see what killing each other can be useful, If I'm the dude with the mouth I will just run away. And on the other hand they could have asked Burning chiken to vouch for them and plus the fact that the verendi guardian will not help the council, i doubt that the verendi awakened will have tried something funny.
ChienDo:Not really useless fight. Zoreth tried to have a reason to fight for the Mouth (she had no proof, only rumor). Verendi's side could just shrug it off, but they played into her hand, with much to earn (kill Theseus, capture multiple Divine Beasts, legendary equipments,...). If you have hundred of powerful centuries old fossils, you can take on 6 people right? Well, nope. Who is currently holding the Mouth is unclear. The murderer can run away, just like you suggest. Lith team is trying to survive/run away. The other team trying to kill/capture all of them.
I’m glad to see tyris stepping in, but more glad to see the royals possibly learning their lesson. I honestly doubted that anything aside from a parallel offensive with lith leading his own separate force and the royals working around that would show. Assuming the royals understand what they are trying to acquire here, we might see a proper offensive
