Into The Unknown

Min-Ju sat there for a few minutes with Jae-Hyuk standing a couple of feet away from her before He got a text asking what the holdup was. "Agassi* we need to go now people are waiting" he said walking over to her. When he said that he didn't realize that she was crying. She had her hands on her face trying to muffle the sound of her crying. Jae-Hyuk saw her and kneeled down in front of her. He gently pulled her hands away from her face and got closer to her

They locked eyes together. Min-Ju's heart skipped a beat. She wanted him to stop getting closer to her but she couldn't, her mind wouldn't let her. When he was about to kiss her his phone rang. Jae-Hyuk got up and walked a little distance before answering his phone. While listening to what Su-Hyung had to say he kept on brushing his hair with his hands embarrassed at what he just tried to do

When Su-Hyung ended the call Jae-Hyuk waited a few seconds before turning around. His phone turned red but he managed to get it under control. He turned around and walked towards Min-Ju who was also embarrassed and confused. He cleared his throat before speaking avoiding eye contact with her

"We have to go. We can't let everybody wait for us" He said walking behind her so he could push the wheelchair. Min-Ju took a deep breath and let Jae-Hyuk push her out to the main entrance of the hospital. Su-Hyung was waiting for them and when he reached where Su-Hyung was he took over and pushed Min-Ju to where the press was. Into the unknown place of horror the media

"Are you ready?" He said in a comforting tone knowing how painful it was for Min-Ju the first time around. He rubbed Min-Ju's shoulders giving her a minute letting her decide when to go

"I'm ready...hopefully" She said sound unenthusiastic but she couldn't avoid it so she had to face it

When they got out of the corridor where they could be seen by the press. The flashing and overlapping voices startled her. Her grip on the wheelchair arms tightened. The bodyguards, police, and security had to hold the press from overreaching them

Questions overwhelmed her questions over questions. "What were you doing by the river?" "Was this all a publicity stunt?" "Are you pregnant again?" "Were you doing something illegal?" "Was your son any part of it?" "Are you endangered?" The people kept asking and she was stumbling trying to answer each one

The questions she had no right answer to. She couldn't reveal everything or that would create a huge scandal that no one wanted. Her mind couldn't comprehend what was happening. She started to panic. She tried to remain calm but anxiety took over. She tugged on Su-Hyung's black suit signaling him that she wants to leave but before she has pushed away she said what she wanted to say in the first place

"I was in the hospital because I wanted to help and support my loving husband" She gulped at those words but she continued "This was not a publicity stunt I overworked myself trying to support my husband. I have learned my lesson to not push myself past my limit" She paused to see the silence was present among the press and everyone was watching her "I am grateful for the hospital staff and to my husband who stayed by my side the entire time" That was obviously a lie but the public didn't need to know that "I will be returning back to work with my husband as soon as I am better and healthier. I ask for your understanding and please respect my family's privacy" She concluded her statement before Su-Hyung rolled her towards the black SUV waiting for them

Su-Hyung helped her into the car before closing the door and going around to drive the car himself. It was obviously for the press but it was a needed gesture. They drove mostly in silence but at the last stretch of the ride he finally said something

"You did good," He said looking at the rearview mirror to see her reaction but Min-Ju's reaction was blank. Comfort wasn't his thing he wasn't good at... They weren't good at comforting each other or talking about their feeling but in the end, their feelings come out in terms of an argument

"I don't like it" She admitted

"It doesn't matter it will be your last one"

"I highly doubt it" She said looking out the window

When they reached the house everyone was there including to press. The bodyguards had to block them and had to basically push the press out of the way so the car could pass through and they had to close the gate

When they got home everyone was there with the curtains covering the windows. Mrs.Kwan was in the kitchen making food. Su-Hyung came in pushing Min-Ju still in her wheelchair. "I want to go upstairs and take a break," Min-Ju said. Su-Hyung understood and had Jae-Hyuk take her upstairs. He held her by the waist hoisting her up so she doesn't fall

When Jae-Hyuk left BiYu came in and like they were five-year-olds she climbed on the bed "Your room has a nice view" BiYu said getting up to close the curtains "I never expected you to be famous like this"

"For what? I got too tired, and suddenly it's a scandal" Min-Ju said unenergized. BiYu sighed and looked at her friend "You deserve to be happy"

"I don't know" She said looking away

BiYu climbed back onto the bed and she started to complain about her married life "It's boring now... like the passion is still there but the fun is not like..." She complained and Min-Ju laughed listening to her friend complain until it was dinner GouWei came up to call them down to dinner

When they went down with BiYu helping her she saw her family bonding and laughing. That made Min-Ju happy. Su-Hyung was talking to Mrs.Kwan and Mr.Song so Min-Ju and BiYu joined them. It made Min-Ju feel like the family that she never really had

When dinner was done Min-Ju persuaded all of them to stay for the night since the press was still waiting outside. They agreed and stayed at the guestrooms. When everything was done Su-Hyung helped Min-Ju up the stairs and helped her shower too since Min-Ju was too weak to even stand up without falling

Su-Hyung was in bed on his laptop working and Min--Ju was laying next to him asleep. Min-Ju woke up to her phone buzzing and looked next to her to see Su-Hyung sleeping soundly. She unlocked her phone to see JinHai had texted her

'Can we meet?'

'Why?' He didn't answer the three dots were showing for quite a while

'I want to see you' he finally answered

'Didn't you say you never want to see me again'

'I'm sorry. I just want to see you' Min-Ju sighed and looked behind her to see Su-Hyung still sleeping

'You can't the press is still outside' She gave him an excuse 'Go through the side door in the garden' She texted
